    Timothy R. "Tim" Pernia, 60 of Galveston, Texas, passed away after a 4 month illness in Veterans Hospital in Temple TX. Born October 17, 1951 in Monroe MI the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Chapman) Pernia, graduated from Ida High School in 1969, was in the U.S. Army from 1971 - 1975, moved to TX about 1977. Tim was a lover of music and animals. He is survived by brothers, Gilbert (Donna) of Cameron TX, Alan (Paula) of Newport MI and Thomas Pernia of Bath ME; sisters Linda (Charles) Rentschler of Puryear TN and Lois (John) Vidolich of Ypsilanti, and several nieces of and nephews. Tim was predeced in death by his father Raymond in 1976 and mother Dorothy Zimmerman in 2004 and twin daughters Kimberly and Christina in 1970. Private funeral services will be held in Texas with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cameron TX.
