    DEATHS
    Ethel E. Freet

    Ethel E. Freet, 84, of Monroe died at 3:25 p.m. in the home of her son. She had been ill since February.

    Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight and noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Allore Funeral Home where Sister Geraldinge Nowak, OSF, will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Chabala will officiate and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.

    Born May 6, 1910, in LaSalle, she was the daughter of William and Cora (Leonard) Pernia. In 1928 she married to George Poupard in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida. He proceeded her in death on May 17, 1968. On August 16, 1968, she married Edgar B. Freet in St. Mary Catholic Church. He proceeded her in death, Nov. 10, 1989.

    She was employed in the laundry department of Mercy Memorial Hospital from June, 1951 to June, 1975.

    She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

    She is survived by four sons, Donald, William, and James all of Monroe, and Raymond of Beaverton; a daughter, Mrs. Joann LaDuke of Monroe; a brother, Nicholas of Erie; 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great great grand children.

    She was preceeded in death by a son, Robert; four brothers, Art, Raymond, William and Donald Pernia; three sisters Pearl Segur, Gladys Wood and Thaila Timmons.

    Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
