    Kenneth Chapman

    MEMPHIS - Kenneth Chapman, 76, of 37747 Bordman Road, a former County Supervisior and Riley township board member, died Friday in Lakeland, Fla., after a short illness.

    He was born Aug. 5, 1896, in Capac. He lived in the Memphis area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Memphis Free Methodist Church.

    For years he served on the St. Clair County Board of Supervisiors. He served many years on Riley township board, retiring in Nov., 1972.

    Chapman is survived by his widow, Stella; three sons, Gordon, of Indiana, Ellwin, Richmond, and Robert, Port Huron; five daughters, Mrs. Neva Hanley, Mt. Clemens, Mrs. Norma Zaetsch, Imlay City, (step daughters: Mrs. Lucille Hines, Mrs. Mary Winn and Mrs. Linda Berlinger), all of Memphis; five brothers, Richard, of Imlay City, Malcom, of Detroit; Arthur, of Monroe, Ralph, of Memphis, and Elmer, Mancelona, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Williams, Detroit, 29 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

    The remains will be in Kammerard Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until noon Wednesday when they will be moved to the Free Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church with Rev. Eldon K. Miller, pastor , officiating. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church Building Fund.
